"If there is no horse, a donkey will do as well." -_-

Raven Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 thank you. btw, officinal assistant = gyógyszertári asszisztens. (or is it not correct?) no. you could say something like "she works in a pharmacy / drugstore"
DanteXV Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 no. you could say something like "she works in a pharmacy / drugstore" alright, corrected. :D here is the next text  : Hungary Hungary is a small country in the middle of Europe. It has got about ten million resident. The capital of Hungary is Budapest. There are some other notable cities, as like Debrecen, Szeged, Miskolc, Gyõr. Hungary has nineteen county. Hungary lies in the moderate climatic belt, the climate is continental. It has got a very diverse topographic feature. There is a lot of plain, hill and small mountain. The highest mountain of Hungary is the Kékestetõ. It is 1014 meter high. The two main rivers of Hungary are the Duna and Tisza. The biggest lake is the Balaton. It is a good tourist destination.
Niclas Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 alright, corrected. :D here is the next text  : Hungary Hungary is a small country in the middle of Europe. Hungary has nineteen county. -> Don't know, sounds a bit wierd, but for one thing do not use "as" and "like" at the same time. It can be "such as" or "like" but not both. As for me, I'd rather say "There are other notable cities, such as..." "a very diverse topographic feature." -> very diverse topographic features "The highest mountain of Hungary is the Kékestetõ" -> The highest peak in Hungary is Kékestetõ, since Mátra is a Mountain and Kékestetõ is a peak. "It is 1014 meter high." -> meters Oh and avoid using "Hungary" too many times. You can say "this country" or other synonyms. It may not be complete, but I tried to correct most of the mistakes if not all of them.

-Gio- Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 I saw a movie a few days ago in English. But in the movie wasn't any grammar thing. For example:"You looked in my hood?" or "We cool?". So it was a little bit strange for me. :)

Hero44 Posted April 26, 2009 Posted April 26, 2009 They(teachers) should teach us that English too. The English we learn in Primary/Secondary school doesn't prepare us too much to live in an English speaking country. Of course, we have to learn the basics but.... Luckily we have a lesson with a teacher from England every week, she's really cool and flexible and I really enjoy those lessons. Whatever, Hungarian education FTW. :)
