B4LINT Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I agree with that. So strange gal sometimes..."fake age" imho. Not necessarily :D But yeah, the other possibility is a bit more terrifying - who knows  Anyways, I asked him in a topic some time ago about his age and he said he truly is 21...

-malvin- Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 I can understand a lot of English phrase, but I have problems when I make one. Also, I have some english books that are almost unuseable. I didn't really needed to speak in English (except in Slovenia), and our English teacher really sucks (she only teach us, how to pass gradulation). Can you suggest me something? (tutorials, books, ect.) Where I can speak in English with other people?
SasOri-Sama Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 You should watch movies or tv series, like Scrubs or something, that show has a lot of american phrases and it can help you to sound a bit more "native." The problem with hungarian teaching is that the pronounciation is really crap here, but they only stress the grammar. Luckily I have an american accent because I learnt to speak english at the age of 3, thanks to american tv channels. (Cartoon Network B) )But the downside of this is that sometimes I make huge and primitive grammar mistakes. :D

SKORI Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Two weeks ago I spoke with 4 spanish boy in English.I and my friends met them in front of a restaurant at noon. They were musicians and they played music in the Vidor Fesztivál in Nyíregyháza.We talked them about the city, football and drinking. :)
BajuszGG Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I began to learn technical english at the uni... It's so exciting. Our teacher speaks like a tweeting cardinal after the rain. B)
SasOri-Sama Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 you should hear my teacher say flour. he thinks it sounds like floor and says it like that. thats just one example. My chemistry teacher pronounces across as "akrössz" so I now what you're talkin' about man. :D

B) yeah the thing about foreign languages is that no matter how good you get at them if theres a word you havent encountered yet then you havent encountered it yet and if someone uses it in a conversation youll be completely lost. the context is not always helpful so we just have to get used to not always understanding everything. but its obviously becoming a smaller issue by the minute.

They asked us if we know a way to a private hotel near or something. My instructor didn't say a word for some seconds, then he started to show the way by the movements of his hands and speak hungarian :D I helped him out, before the tourist could have thought he's crazy :D

Philip12 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 I'm not perfect in English, but now I see I'm not alone :D :P (this doesn't apply only to the quoted message of course) I can understand a lot of English phrase, but I have problems when I make one. Also, I have some english books that are almost unuseable. I didn't really needed to speak in English (except in Slovenia), and our English teacher really sucks (she only teach us, how to pass gradulation). Can you suggest me something? (tutorials, books, ect.) Where I can speak in English with other people? Well, I also advise that you registrate on some English speak... khm English writing forums. There are plenty; fan forums of books, games etc. (Eg Harry Potter or Heroes of M&M etc.) There you meet a huge community (pretty similar to GS) and it will help you using the language, especially if you ask the people to correct your English. Also, it surely is very "kocka" (nerdy?) but I can tell you, a great part of my vocabulary comes from PC games. Those with voice and text are better that those only with text or only with voice. For a trivial example: Diablo 2 ^^" But any game installed in English can help - if you look up the words in the dictionary. (though a proper English teacher would be the ideal solution, I know it's rare <_< )
Warfoki Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I read an irritating joke just a few minutes ago. Here you go: 'Who's performing here?' 'The Who' 'The Who?' 'Yes' 'So 'Yes' is performing here?' 'No, 'The Who' 'Oooow, 'The Who' is performing here. 'Yes' Isn't it just marvelous?
